An Agricultural Extension Agent is a trained expert that acts as a middleman between the farmers and research institute or organization. they are saddled with the responsibilities of bringing new innovations, technologies, knowledge etc. concerning agriculture to farmers and they in turn take farmers concerns, complaints, and outcry to research institute they help to teach farmers how to use modern farm tools and technologies.
The Extension Agent uses different methods to arouse or captivate the farmers and they are agent of change in that they help people form their own organizations to be able to tackle their problems. They pass through different training and workshops and belong to a professional body before they can be certified as an Agricultural Extension Agent. Agricultural extension training/programs cover a broad area including improved crop varieties, better livestock control, improved water management, and the control of weeds, pests, or plant diseases.

Texas 4-H
Texas 4-H is a club for kids and teens ages 8-18 in grades 3-12. As the largest youth development program in Texas, reaching more than 550,000 youth each year, no matter where you live or what you like to do, Texas 4-H has something that lets you be a better you!
You may think 4-H is only for your friends with animals, but it’s so much more! You can do activities like shooting sports, food science, healthy living, robotics, fashion, and photography.
Look for 4-H clubs at your school, an after-school program, a community center, or just by contacting your County Extension Agent. Texas 4-H, established in 1908, is part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M System.
